Karla Zamudio emerged from a one-parent home in East L.A,
determined
to achieve success on her own terms. Her life was
transformed
when she saw the magic of John Travolta and
Olivia Newton-John
on the silver screen in "Grease."
This
prompted her to enroll at John Robert Powers in
Beverly
Hills, where she got her basic training as a model and
on-camera.
She
next tackled the Tepper-Gallegos Commercial workshop
and
landed a top Commercial agent. Karla booked over a dozen
national
and regional commercials in Spanish and English and a
host of
industrials, print ads and voice-overs.
This
success afforded her the financial freedom to seriously
focus on theatrical training at the Beverly Hills Playhouse
and
with the renowned Gloria Gifford.
Along
with Co-Starring and Guest Starring roles on prime
time
television and a string of independent films, Karla
underwent
intensive sign language training in 2003 for the
lead role in
a production of "Children of A Lesser God,"
which brought
her peers to realize she is an actress of
uncommon range and
depth.
It
is clear that the future holds no limits for this sexy Latina
actress.
